Chicken luncheon meat turkish lentil soup

  • 150 grams of red lentils
  • 2 peeled carrots
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 100 grams of tomato purée (concentrated)
  • 1 large potato (peeled)
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 litre of chicken broth
  • 2 sprigs of parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of chilli flakes
  • Salt
  • 200g of Zwan Chicken Luncheon Meat Olives (cut into small cubes)

Peel and chop the onion and finely chop the garlic. Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil. Then add the cumin powder. Finally, add the tomato purée. Stir well.

Chop the potato and carrots into pieces. Wash them and add them to the onion mix. Wash the red lentils and add them to the pan along with the chicken broth.

Let the soup simmer for 10 minutes until the vegetables and lentils have softened. Then blend the lentil soup with a hand blender until smooth.

Add a splash of olive oil to a separate pan. Then add the cubed chicken luncheon meat along with a teaspoon of chilli flakes. Mix them together and remove the pan from the heat. Add the chopped parsley to the mix and stir it one more time. Garnish the Turkish lentil soup with this mix.
